Privacy, in plain language
Your plans stay yours.
Effective August 20, 2026
Your app content lives on your Apple devices and, if enabled, in your private iCloud database—not on a Wend account or advertising server.
1. Information Wend handles
Wend stores the content you create to use its planning and reflection features: values and color labels; goals, projects, notes, deadlines, and reminder preferences; intentions, recurrence schedules, completion history, and micro-steps; and journal entries and their linked values.
Wend does not require your name, email address, phone number, or a profile. Device settings, notification preferences, and a small Apple Watch snapshot are stored only as needed to provide the features you choose. The clipboard is accessed only when you explicitly copy a journal entry as Markdown.
2. How information is used
Your information is used to organize intentions beneath goals and values, build your daily plan, calculate progress and history, schedule reminders, sync through iCloud, and show your plan on Apple Watch. Wend does not use app content for advertising, behavioral tracking, marketing profiles, or training artificial intelligence models.
3. Where information is stored
App content is stored locally with Apple's SwiftData framework. When iCloud is available, CloudKit can sync it through your private iCloud database to devices signed in to your Apple Account. If iCloud is unavailable, Wend falls back to local-only storage.
Wend's developer does not operate a separate server that receives your values, goals, intentions, or journal entries and cannot access the contents of your private iCloud database.
4. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Wend includes no third-party advertising, analytics, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising. Apple may independently receive limited operational or device information according to your settings and Apple's privacy policy.
5. When information may be shared
App information is shared only as needed with Apple and iCloud for private storage and sync, Apple notification services for reminders you enable, and your own Apple devices. Information may also be disclosed if required by law, though Wend generally does not possess your app content.
6. Your choices and controls
You can manage iCloud and notification access in Apple device settings. You can edit or delete content in Wend; when iCloud sync is active, deletions propagate to synced devices. Uninstalling removes local data from that device but may not remove data already stored in iCloud.
Because your content remains on your devices or in your private iCloud database, Wend's developer cannot retrieve, export, correct, or delete it for you.
7. Retention and security
Content remains on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud database until you delete it. Wend relies on Apple operating-system security, app sandboxing, SwiftData, App Groups, and CloudKit. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Children and privacy rights
Wend is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information. Wend does not sell or share information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
For a request concerning information we may possess, email us. We may need to verify your request and cannot access data held solely on your device or in your private iCloud database.
9. This website
When you visit livewend.com, its hosting or security providers may process ordinary technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time for delivery, security, and server logs. Website activity is separate from the Wend app; the app does not upload your values, goals, intentions, or journal entries to livewend.com.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Wend, Apple platform services, or legal requirements change. The effective date identifies the latest version. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to kcramer14@gmail.com.
